East Mesa CPA firm is looking for a Part-Time accountant/bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have a take-charge attitude, experience working in a CPA firm, and be a team player. The candidate needs to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined. Must have experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Must be able to work well with others in a small office setting. We are looking for someone who wants a career, not a job, and has a strong work ethic, can meet deadlines, works independently, and interacts well with a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare journal entries and prepare monthly or daily bank reconciliations.

* Monthly / Weekly Bookkeeping for clients, including reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts

* Process and input accounts payable and issue check disbursements as required

* Prepare for and assist with annual year-end tax and accounting tasks

* Prepare monthly financial statements using QuickBooks for multiple entities

* MUST have experience in preparing payroll and MUST have experience in preparing payroll reports, sales tax reports for state and multiple cities, W2 and 1099 preparation

*Daily interaction with clients via phone and email, ability to maintain relationships, good grammar, both written and verbal, required

* Must be able to research discrepancies and identify and solve problems

*Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines is a must

* Back up administrative work, such as answering phones, scanning, and greeting clients

  • Other duties, including any other accounting and administrative tasks as delegated
