Construction Laborer / Cleaning Technician

Pay: $20-$23

Job Description

Join a dynamic construction team working on a large-scale project in Lenoir, NC. This long-term project spans over two years and offers an opportunity to contribute to various general construction tasks including temporary structure setup, signage, and site cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction project sites.
• Review jobsite needs with supervisors to fully understand work scopes as per plans and specifications.
• Assist with jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, and construction waste management.
• Inventory supplies and communicate restocking needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations by trade employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Understand and follow work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions.
• Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform selected demolition and participate in subcontractor and supplier activities.
• Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily.
• Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed.
• Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain cleanliness in dumpster areas.
• Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators.
• Ensure security of equipment and work area during operations.
• Identify and escalate problems to supervisors for resolution.
• Track production of completed tasks.
• Assist other craft workers as directed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of construction experience.
• Proficiency in using power tools and reading a tape measure.
• Experience with carpentry, concrete work, and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend construction plans and specifications.
• Strong teamwork, integrity, and leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
