Food Quality Lab Technician
Qualifications:
Keep work area and equipment neat and clean and properly stored
Working knowledge of current laboratory procedures, HACCP principles, and plant GMPs.
Industry Experience: Preference for food processing organization.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of food ingredients and conversions.
Light Culinary Experience
Job Description:
In this position, you will create samples and test various food products from new customers, perform inspections, and document, and communicate results.
You will need to communicate well with customers about their products.
Test food products and liquids to determine physical and chemical characteristics
Check food products for color, consistency, and nutrients.
Determining moisture, salt, sugar, or preservatives of food products.
Ensure food products are fit for customer distribution and comply with FDA standards and regulations.
Assist with food research, development and compliance, and quality control.
Record or compile test results or prepare graphs, charts, or reports.
Clean, maintain, operate and sanitize lab equipment.
Responsible for light maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
Collect and retain raw material samples; test samples as required.
Ship various product samples as required.
