Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Assistant to support our Human Resources and Payroll functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and HR compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ADP, and knowledge of FMLA guidelines is essential. This role is M-F 8:30AM-5:00PM. This is a contract role for about 16 weeks. Pay is up to $25 based off experience.
Key Responsibilities:
•Payroll & HRIS Management:
•Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies as needed.
•Onboarding & Offboarding:
•Facilitate onboarding processes, including I-9 verification, background checks, and new hire documentation.
•Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
•Manage offboarding tasks including exit interviews and benefits termination.
•Benefits Administration:
•Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.).
•Assist employees with benefit inquiries and enrollments.
•Coordinate open enrollment and liaise with insurance providers.
•Administrative Support:
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
•Generate reports in Excel and support data entry and analysis.
•Provide general administrative support to the 0.002HR department.
•Compliance & Leave Management:
•Track and manage employee leave including FMLA, ADA, and other leave types.
•Ensure compliance with all HR-related regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
•Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
•2+ years of experience in HR or payroll administration.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ADP systems.
•Strong understanding of payroll practices, benefits administration, and FMLA.
•Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
