About the Role We’re seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team in a hybrid role —working both remotely and from our local office in Washington, MI. This is a dynamic, client-facing role ideal for someone with a solid understanding of loan processes, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping people achieve homeownership. What You’ll Do Client Consultation Conduct thorough consultations to assess clients’ financial goals and mortgage needs Educate borrowers on available loan programs and recommend the most suitable options Guide clients through the loan application and approval process Application Management Assist clients in completing applications accurately and efficiently Collect, review, and submit required documentation for our in-house processing team Communication & Coordination Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients throughout the loan lifecycle Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure timely closings Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients Address questions, provide updates, and resolve issues with professionalism and care Compliance Ensure all interactions adhere to regulatory guidelines and company policies Stay up to date on lending rules, industry changes, and compliance standards Pipeline & Workflow Management Manage a pipeline of loan files while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines Use loan origination systems to update records and monitor progress What We’re Looking For 1–2 years of experience in mortgage lending or a related financial services role Active NMLS license or the ability to obtain one Strong knowledge of mortgage products and lending regulations Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks Proficient in loan origination software and Microsoft Office tools What We Offer Hybrid work environment – enjoy the flexibility of remote work with in-office collaboration Competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potential Company-provided leads and marketing support to grow your business Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive, team-driven culture that values your success Flexible schedule that empowers you to pursue self-driven business opportunities and build the necessary networks for success in this role.
