Pay Rate: $25 - $32 / hr Allied Universal is hiring a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator to investigate claims with red flags suggesting fraudulent behavior related to insurance claims. The SIU Specialist must use their knowledge of insurance policies and fraud components to determine if claims warrant reporting to authorities. Responsibilities Investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across various coverage types. Gather information via data collection, interviews, research, and collaboration with SIU entities, law enforcement, and insurance departments. Create detailed documentation for investigations and related tasks. Produce clear, professional reports, memos, and correspondence. Verify database results and develop strategic plans to meet objectives. Qualifications (must Have) Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a minimum of five years law enforcement experience related to fraud. Proper licensing as a Private Investigator as required by the state. Ability to complete Allied Universal Investigations training. Experience in complex insurance investigations and claims adjustment. Knowledge of anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations. Proficiency with laptops and cell phones. SIU compliance knowledge. Typing speed of 40+ words per minute. Flexibility for varied hours, including weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Military or law enforcement experience. Insurance administration knowledge. Familiarity with California SIU regulations. Professional certifications like CFE, CIFI, FCLA, FCLS, CPP, AIC, or CPCU.
