JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: HR Assistant

Department: Human Resources

FLSA: Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)

Location: Breinigsville, PA

Your job will be to support the work of the HR department and the management team by performing a variety of tasks. This includes providing support to the HR Generalist, the Management Team, and employees.

Duties/Responsibilities :

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Generalist and the management team
  • Under direction from the HR Generalist, organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation
  • As instructed, help manage and update HR software and company databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, etc.
  • Help with preparation of payroll documentation
  • With approval from the HR Generalist, answer employee’s questions and provide requested information
  • Maintain TGP online calendar
  • Assist temp agencies with processing and facilitating time sheets, etc.
  • Answer phone and provide needed information
  • Create reports for the HR Generalist and the Management Team
  • Help organize and assist with new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
  • Receives and distributes mail
  • Schedules and organizes appointments and department meetings
  • Proofreads and types documents and correspondences
  • May assist with preparation of human resources reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports
  • Help maintain filing systems
  • Provide general support and direction to visitors
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Acts as interpreter to Spanish speaking employees when needed

Education and Experience

  • Must be bilingual with the ability to speak, read and understand English and Spanish
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office 365 (MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in particular)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Act as a reliable and supportive team member
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Office assistant and human resources experience preferred

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
